Welcome to Martha's Village |
|
Thank you for visiting Martha's Lakeside Village community Web site. Martha's Village is a waterfront residential community located in historic Dandridge, Tennessee on Douglas Lake in Jefferson County.
Our Martha's Village neighborhood consists of a diverse group of individuals, ranging from retirees to young professionals. Many of our residents have enjoyed the serenity of the East Tennessee area their entire lifetimes, while others are transplants from other states and even countries. We all come together, however, as a neighborhood that nurtures fellowship among our residents, supports our local businesses and organizations, and encourages involvement and leadership in progressive development of the community.
Our community Web site is a volunteer-based effort by several homeowners to serve as an informative resource for residents of our neighborhood, members of our local community and visitors to our East Tennessee area. Please feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions. If you have time, don't forget to sign our guestbook! |

A Plea for Our Local Dandridge Emergency Food Pantry
As written by one homeowner
I volunteer at our local emergency Food Pantry here in Dandridge which is under the auspices of the Dandridge Ministerial Association. Persons in our area in need of food may receive a three day supply of food through the pantry 4 times in a calendar year...The food pantry relies on donations of food and monetary contributions to buy food in order to meet the temporary emergency needs of the Dandridge area so that none should go hungry. Food is purchased through Second Harvest at a discount.

|
Several of our residents were featured in the Standard Banner this past summer for their efforts in providing a new parking lot for Piedmont Elementary School.
"... Piedmont technical coordinator Kathy Pless and husband Randy worked with Mr. [Duff] Boyd, also a Dandridge resident, who generously volunteered his time, the grade work, and all the rock needed for the new parking lot. "
